Abentaire
Privacy policy
Last updated October 15, 2026
This policy explains what Abentaire, operated by Abstract Technologies, LLC, collects about two groups of people: members and visitors who use our website and service, and the individuals who appear on our research register.
Members and visitors
What we collect. When you request access or create an account we collect your name, work email, firm and the category of business you are in, together with anything you write to us. When you subscribe, our third-party payment processor collects your card and billing details; we receive only a customer reference, the plan and the billing status, never the card number. While you use the service we record sign-ins, searches, saved prospects and exports so that the product works and so that we can enforce seat limits and detect misuse.
How we use it. To provide and bill the service, to answer your messages, to send transactional email such as sign-in links and receipts, and to tell you about material changes. We do not sell member information and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Who sees it. Third-party service providers who host and operate the product on our behalf, covering hosting, database and authentication, payments, email and automated summarisation of public records. Each is bound by its own data-processing terms. We may also disclose information where the law requires it or to protect our rights.
Retention. Account data is kept while your membership is active and for up to three years afterwards for tax and dispute purposes, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Access requests that never become memberships are deleted after twelve months.
People on the register
The register contains information about individuals drawn solely from public sources: securities filings, company and deal announcements, press coverage, league and team announcements, and published wealth rankings. For each person we hold business context only: name, role, company or team, metro area, age where publicly reported, the public event that placed them on the register, and our own analytical notes. We do not collect or hold home addresses, personal phone numbers, personal email addresses, family details or financial account information.
Our legal basis is our legitimate interest, and that of our members, in using already-public business information to identify prospective clients for high-value goods and services, balanced against the limited expectation of privacy in information that the person or their company has itself disclosed publicly.
What we do not collect. Nothing from private databases, data brokers, social-media scraping or non-public sources. Individuals whose wealth is a matter of general public knowledge are marked as such and excluded from members' working lists. Extraction and summarisation are partly automated and sources can be wrong or out of date; we flag caveats on each profile and correct errors reported to privacy@abentaire.com.
Your rights if you are on the register. You may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to remove you from the register and suppress you from future ingestion. Write to privacy@abentaire.com with your name and the company or team you are associated with. We act on removal requests within ten business days, add the name to a suppression list so it is not re-created by later ingestion, do not charge for removal, and do not require proof beyond what is needed to identify the right entry.
California and other state rights
Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah and other states with consumer privacy laws may have rights to access, delete, correct and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information as that term is usually defined, but because members pay to access the register, some state laws may treat access to it as a sale. If you want to opt out, use the contact above and we will remove you from the register for all members.
Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies for sign-in sessions and nothing else. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on abentaire.com.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is restricted to the people who operate the service, and members sign in with single-use email links rather than passwords. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting you we will tell you promptly.
Changes and contact
We will post changes to this policy here and, for material changes, notify members by email. Questions: privacy@abentaire.com.
